For the love of friends

Dear Lord,

Let me forget my friends,

So that I may come to know them again.

Let me forget their stories,

So they may share themselves again.

Let me forget who they are,

So they know they are already good enough.

Let me forget myself,

So I can enjoy their company.

Let me forget who I am,

So I don't impose on them who they are supposed to be.

Let me forget my life,

So they know they come before any schedules and agendas.

Let me see you in them,

So that I can give them my full attention.

Take everything away from me,

So that all may be redeemed.

Please, make us like little children again,

So we can relate without prejudices.

So we can play without self-consciousness.

So we can love each other whole-heartedly.
